Less than a month before the start of the biggest capital festival Vilniaus dienos on 5-7 September, the organisers announce the first part of the long-awaited programme, the biggest festival opening concerts in Cathedral Square

After the history of the 30 th anniversary of the capital days, Vilnius took a new step, making the city's biggest festival “the days of Vilnius.” Turning into a new format that emphasizes the city's identity, the Vilniaus dienos festival focuses on fostering a creative, modern and culturally active city.

“Vilniaus dienos,” says Paulius Jurgutis, director of the festival organiser, Vilnius Centre for Culture, “invites free concerts to meet you in the autumn with a powerful emotional charge and promises the brightest evenings of September in the capital city.”

On Friday, September 5, the festival wool and city guests have two outstanding musical experiences that will highlight the creative potential, emotional sensitivity, and stage courage of the younger generation.

The Katedros Square will become the epicenter of energy and emotion that night. On the great scene of Vilniaus dienos, the alternate rock group ba. and the Lithuanian pop-music star Evgenya Redko will represent different but equally important forms of modern music: from the authentic, melancholy and rebellious rock to the emotionally charged, visually expressive sound of pop.

5 September, 21 a.m. The Katedros Square will be the pulse of the whole city - here, on the great Vilniaus diena scene, one of Lithuania's most prominent alternative music groups, ba., will open the festival, which has raised the Lithuanian rock scene to a new level. The group of charismatic leader Ben Alexandravich's lead brings together alternative rock, post-punk aesthetics, and emotional openness that affects thousands of Palieses.

on the 22-hour stage in Cathedral Square we will see another outstanding Lithuanian artist, Evgenya Redko. The unique voice and music of this singer, the songwriter, is a blend of modern electronics, TRAP, soul, and R-& B that encompasses both its sound quality and its thoughtful visual stories, inviting you not to be afraid of your identity and authenticity. When she started her solo career in 2019 (and was awarded the M.A.M.A. outbreak), she immediately shot toppers and repeatedly demonstrated that Lithuanian pop music could be innovative, emotional and of high quality. It's an evening culmination that you can't miss.
