The renewed "Vilnius days", the capital's largest festival, presents a program with almost 200 events! On September 5-7, both residents and guests of the capital are welcome in the very heart of Vilnius to explore the city, famous worldwide for its unique charm, and immerse themselves in a colourful, vibrant, and interesting variety of events.

"The first weekend of September is traditionally dedicated to celebrating Vilnius - a growing, constantly changing, communal and culturally vibrant city." All of this has created a unique Vilnius identity over the centuries, which will be further enhanced by the renewed Vilnius days festival this year. "I believe that the weekend program will surprise not only the city's guests, but also true Vilnius residents - I invite everyone to experience the true spirit of the capital at the concerts, fairs, cultural and sports events taking place," says Vilnius City Mayor Valdas Benkunskas.
This year's vibrant and creative festival program will reveal the city's cultural heritage, promote community spirit, and provide an opportunity for every visitor to the city festival to find an attractive activity. Guests of Vilnius days will be able to choose from music and light shows, creative workshops and art exhibitions, to sports events and presentations of ethnic cultures.

Different spaces in Vilnius will become open zones of culture, music, literature, art, sports, flavours, entertainment and unexpected discoveries for the long weekend. The "Vilnius days" program includes concerts in Cathedral square, Gediminas avenue, which will be transformed into "Discovery avenue", Vincas Kudirka and Lukiškės squares, the White bridge meadow and sports field, as well as the Neris embankment from the White to Žirmūnai Bridge.

A powerful emotional charge – big concerts

The festival organizers promise an exclusive musical program for "Vilnius days", which will involve you in the city's celebration from the very first minutes.

The opening night concerts of the festival will be special moments full of music, colours, and impressive visual effects - the alternative rock band "ba." and Lithuanian pop music star Evgenya Redko will shine on the main stage in Cathedral square. On Saturday evening, the Latvian girl group "Tautumeitas" and the founder of the Lithuanian rock legend "Hiperbolės" Viktoras Prapras and his band will invite you to join a musical experience.

Three special days of discovery

Gediminas avenue, which will be transformed into the "Discovery avenue" for the weekend, will be worth visiting because of the six spaces that will be located here - Book square, Music and art alley, Style LOCATIONS, Flavors and tourism alleys, and the Vilnius sports festival taking place in Lukiškės square.

Visitors to the "Book square" will be greeted by 34 publishing houses and 23 events - presentations of new books, meetings with more than 40 of today's most famous Lithuanian authors, book creators and publishers, discussions and education for children; the program is here .

On the "Music and art alley", every passerby will be greeted by almost a hundred professional representatives of different artistic fields and generations, who will present their work. Visitors will be able to admire works of glass, ceramics, painting, graphics, and folk art up close, discover various techniques and styles, chat with the authors, and purchase their works.

The "Discovery avenue" stage near Vincas Kudirkas Square will become a kaleidoscope of 17 live concerts. On stage, you can see Monika Pundziūtė, the groups "8 Kambarys", "Antikvarianiai Kašpirovskio dantys", "shishi", performers GAMKA, Petunija and others.

On Friday afternoon, the festival will open with a performance by the Lithuanian Police representative wind orchestra and a concert by the Rakija Klezmer band, a group performing the traditional Jewish music style klezmer, dedicated to the European Day of Jewish culture.
On Saturday at noon, an international artistic expression competition for children, youth and adults will take place - the Vilnius Talent league, and on Sunday, a concert of folk dance groups "Dancing for Vilnius" will bring smiles to the faces of visitors.

The "Style LOCATION" located between the Vincas Kudirka square and A. Jakšto street on the Gediminas avenue, will become the most fashionable and stylish space of "Vilnius days", dedicated to contemporary design, fashion, accessories and beauty, with a program of almost 30 events. Here, creators and designers will present their collections, sustainable fashion initiatives, accessories, bijouterie and fine jewellery. A Home cosiness and beauty space will be located near the Vincas Kudirka monument, where a beauty salon will be open throughout the event and creative workshops will be held. "Alley of flavours" will offer a walk along "Discovery avenue" between A. Jakšto, February 16th and J. Tumas-Vaižgantas streets - browse the fair of craftspeople and creative masters' products and try the products of farmers from different regions of Lithuania, enjoy various delicacies, which will likely become a favourite for the family. The aromas spreading from outdoor restaurants will entice you to enjoy a variety of locally prepared dishes.

In the "Tourism alley" located near Lukiškės square, festival visitors will find new ideas for traveling around Lithuania and get acquainted with the charm of the regions. This year, the Vilnius, Trakai, Kaunas, Šiauliai, Žemaitija, Alytus, Lazdijai, Skuodas tourism information centres and the "Eglė" sanatorium will present their services here.
The most active space of "Vilnius days" will be located at the Lukiškės square - at the "Vilnius sports festival", more than 60 sports organizations will invite visitors to try various sports, participate in open training sessions and wellness activities. An impressive program of sports events will also take place at the White bridge sports field; sportofestivalis.lt.

The Neris river and its embankments invite you to have fun

Many events of the Vilnius days festival program will move to the other side of the Neris.
An "Amusement park for children and families" will be located in the meadow near the White bridge, where you will not be bored due to active games, trampolines, obstacle courses, a variety of creative workshops, performances by animators, and the "Pik-nik" cheese stick ripping championship.
Nearby, on the Neris embankment, more than two dozen restaurants on wheels will tempt you with the aromas of street food. The best street food in the country will offered by street food vendors at the in the Flavors park - a wide range of flavours - from Asian, Mexican or Italian dishes to local gourmet interpretations.

The festival visitors' mood in a unique location with a beautiful backdrop of the Vilnius panorama will be further enhanced by energetic live music concerts - on the stage on the Neris embankment near the White bridge, acoustic performances will intertwine with electronic sounds, indie and pop rhythms. The 19-concert program will feature such well-known names as "Girių dvasios", "Kabloonak", Lukas Pilkauskas, Rūta MUR, DJ Mamania and others.
To mark the year of Vilnius as the European Green Capital, the "Green capital meadow" will be open for the first time between the Mindaugas and Žirmūnai bridges (at Olimpiečių str. 17). This space will host creative recycling workshops, green experiments (including hydrogen production), green Vilnius tours, face painting, bubbles, and temporary tattoos for the little ones, as well as climbing training for the active; zaliasvilnius.lt.
Friday and Saturday evenings will be crowned by an impressive laser show "Synthesis of Nature and Technology", which will be most conveniently viewed from the Neris embankment and from the meadow near the White bridge. Laser projections accompanied by the sounds of nature and subtle electronic music will be lit at 23:00, 23:30, 00:00 and 00:30.
